Hi Friend —
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m here…in my little corner of the internet because I believe God has given me a story to tell – one that I pray will give you hope.
I’m here because life didn’t turn out like I’d hoped. I’m here because I believe God has called me to reflect His light in dark places.
I’m here, here – as in, still alive! – because God keeps giving me more breath. When I was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer in 2015, no one expected me to be here for long. But here I am, seven years later! Exhausted, nauseous and in pain, but still here…
Being here is a gift and I don’t intend to waste it – this gift of life.
As a super survivor and end-of-life doula, I harness the lessons of a very difficult life to help people live their most joyful life and transition well into a new one. I am asked to speak most often about suffering, living well, dying well, finding peace in pain, cancer, Columbine, discovering beauty in brokenness and losing a loved one.
I hope you reach out if you would like to talk about end-of-life care or if you would like to invite me to speak at your event.
Know that my heart is for you!
Love,
Karissa

A true story that’s one in a trillion.
My mission is to use my life – however long it may be – to reflect the Light that I’ve found in the dark.
